Ashrith Eppa
StandOut Program Intern

Ashrith is an IB Diploma Program student at DRS International School in Hyderabad, India, with a strong interest in computer science, engineering, and the development of technology-based solutions to real-world challenges. His interests span hardware-software integration, intelligent automation, and robotics. Through his engineering experiences, he has explored microcontroller-based automation, rapid prototyping, and the use of sensors in a smart irrigation project. He has also developed a Python-based financial tracker and conducted research into modular robotics, including decentralized control, fault tolerance, and self-reconfiguration.
Ashrith hopes to build on these experiences by learning more about renewable energy, energy resilience, and the role of technology in supporting communities. His contribution to the collaborative ETIPP application has provided an opportunity to engage with a project focused on energy planning for the Wampanoag Tribe of Gay Head (Aquinnah). He is interested in understanding how engineering, research, and data-driven approaches can help address practical infrastructure challenges, while recognizing the importance of developing solutions that respond to the community’s needs and priorities.
